THE WAX ROOM CARLSBAD How to prepare for a Brazilian Wax In advance of a Brazilian wax session, you may want to take some of the following steps to prepare for your appointment: * Exfoliate the pubic area with a cleansing mitt or washcloth before you come in to get waxed. This will help to avoid ingrown hairs. * We strongly suggest that you do not tan for 24-48 hours prior to your appointment for a Brazilian wax. The skin will be extremely sensitive and if you are sunburned in that area we will not be able to apply the wax without pain or discomfort. This service is not recommended for damaged or unhealthy skin and you will need to reschedule your appointment. * Do not shave between appointments. * If this is your first time getting a full-body wax, you may want to trim any hair that is longer than ½ inch. The ideal length of hair for this service is ¼ inch. * Wear breathable or loose clothing to remain comfortable after the session. Tight, constricting apparel can irritate the skin after your Brazilian wax in Carlsbad. * You can manage any pain or discomfort during the session by taking an over-the-counter pain reliever such as Tylenol or Advil roughly 20-30 minutes before your session. * If you have any piercings, we suggest that you remove them prior to your waxing services.
